A Week of Progress
#LifeInProgress
I've been journaling almost every day for a while now. Then I thought: why not turn some of those reflections into a weekly series? And this is where it all begins.
- I finished the book Project Hail Mary. As a fan of the movie, I went in with high expectations, and somehow the book still managed to surprise me. It had the same blend of satisfaction and humor from old previous Andy Weir's stories.
- Potty training officially started. I even took a day off work so I could keep an eye on my daughter for 3 full days over the weekend. It turns out teaching a tiny human to use the toilet requires a surprising amount of patience, planning, encouragement, and laundry. Not an easy task at all, but we're making progress.
- My girlfriend came over, and our conversation somehow drifted toward relationships. We talked about how people change over time and what it takes to keep a relationship healthy after years of living together. She was sad. I sent hugs.
- I've been eating an absurd amount of food lately. Still being surprised that I didn't gain more weight from it.
- On the bright side, I managed to book all of the transportation and accommodations for our Japan trip. It took far more spreadsheets, browser tabs, and comparisons than I'd like to admit, but it's finally done. Kudo to myself.
